City police officers were called to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of Ocean Avenue at approximately 11 p.m. on Oct. 24, according to a release by the department.
Officers found the victim dead on arrival from "an apparent gunshot wound," as stated in the release.
The victim's name has not been released.
It is believed that "this was an isolated incident and there is no current threat to the public," the police said.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
